Artist statement: I am a storyteller that exists in the Neon.
My works aim to present a super-sweet eye candy that spins tales of mythology, politics, and personal experiences that are tinged with irony, humor and wonder. The work uses an inventive new method to create this imagery that is at once stunning and fascinating. The 3DUV painting technique taps directly into our brain’s image and sense-making centers, forming a hypnotically convincing illusion of depth and form that is capable of changing color and mood at the flip of a switch. This innovation offers an invitation to stare at the many enigmatic qualities of varying intensities of light and glowing paint while contemplating an analytical story told by the subconscious mind.
