Description of work: This is a series of silicone baby and child dolls that rival real life. They are some of the most realistic dolls in the world. They are sculpted by the artist and then molded and casted into silicone. The silicone has realistic glass eyes, and the hair is rooted into the head with baby soft hair one strand at a time. The bodies are hand sewn with a skin colored fabric and is weighted and padded to feel like a real baby's body. The silicone is painted with many thin layers of a specialized paint. Since virtually nothing bonds to silicone, the paint is formulated to stretch and bend without cracking or peeling. This will allow for people to be able to play around with the doll. |
