The Old Federal Building
Venue description: The historic Federal Building served as the home of the Grand Rapids Art Museum for 25 years, and is still regularly used to host art events. The ground floor features expansive gallery space with white walls, hardwood floors, and adjustable track lighting. The building also features unique spaces with rich historic character, including a great hall, an auditorium with a stage and projection screen, former offices, and more.

ENTER EARLY - Any artists interested in this venue must submit their proposal information by July 30, 2009. All artist proposals will be reviewed by August 6, 2009.
Venue statement: The Federal Building is unique in that it functions as a museum-quality exhibition space while retaining its historic feel. The building was first opened in 1911, it housed courts and the central post office. It was home to the Grand Rapids Art Museum from 1981 to 2007.
