(106) Gallery - Calvin College
Venue description: The (106) Gallery is a non-profit exhibition and studio space operated by the Calvin College Department of Art and Art History. Calvin College is a private, 4-year liberal arts college located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The gallery is located off-campus at 106 South Division Avenue in downtown Grand Rapids. The space shares a building with other artist live/work studios in the heart of the Avenue for the Arts district. Exhibits include student and faculty work, along with shows by artists from around the country. The gallery space is hosting a multi-artist exhibition during ArtPrize and has one separate space available. The space is relatively small and highly visible, with a large window looking out on the busy sidewalk of South Division. The space is near the entrance and features wood floors, three white walls (which can be pierced and/or painted), and adjustable track lighting.

Venue statement: The (106) Gallery was a joint venture between Calvin College and Dwelling Place (the property owners) to be a gallery, studio, and multipurpose work space for faculty and students. Receptions, art hops, and collaborative art-making events are regularly hosted in the space.
