ArtPrize is proud to present the suite of grants for 2025! This suite of new, transmuted, and returning grant programs are intended to bring a dynamic and diverse range of art + design to ArtPrize this fall. ArtPrize attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors who engage with, vote for, and potentially buy artworks submitted as ArtPrize entries and all entries are judged by a jury of art + design professionals. This one of a kind art experience takes place annually in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA. These grants are highly competitive and look to support talented local, regional, and international Artists and Designers of all disciplines. Pitch Nights
ArtPrize Pitch Nights have expanded!
If you are an artist or designer living in or near one of five cities across the country, ArtPrize Pitch Night is coming your way this spring to discover exciting, ambitious projects and bring them to Grand Rapids for the fifteenth annual event.
2025 Pitch Night events are held in partnership with local organizations in each region and will take place in the following cities:
Louisville, KY - April 3
Phoenix, AZ - April 10
Indianapolis, IN - April 17
Norman, OK - May 1
New York City, NY - May 15

Artist registration fees
Rentals of installation equipment such as trucks, lifts, and cranes
Installation of display elements to better showcase work in your space, such as gallery walls, track lighting, or audio/visual equipment necessary to exhibit participating artist’s entries
Art handling to ensure the proper care and presentation of exhibited works
Art shipping and transportation logistics
Special permitting fees

Artist Seed Grants return!
Artist Seed Grants are intended to assist exceptionally talented emerging Artists + Designers bring their compelling work to the 2025 ArtPrize event. These $2000 grants are intended to help cover costs associated with the creation of the artwork and the logistic needs of bringing the work and Artists + Designers to the event to experience the magic of ArtPrize. Artist Seed Grants help to keep ArtPrize accessible for artists from all over the world and in all stages of their careers.
New this year, ArtPrize is restructuring grant fund distribution across each entry category. Funds will be allocated to support five artists from each category:
2D (painting/photos/'traditional' art)
3D (sculpture and related entries)
Installation (immersive art experiences)
Time-Based (performance based artworks)
New Media (renaming of Digital art category)
+Design
*All Artist Seed Grant applicants must be registered as an ArtPrize Artist before submitting their grant application. Applications from Artists not registered as an ArtPrize 2025 Artist will not be considered.
Grant funds will be provided to selected Artists to offset some of all costs associated with:
Creation of work
Framing/display needs
Special permitting
Maintenance of installation during the event
Transportation of work to and from the event
Transportation and lodging of Artists during the event
Unique needs of the Art/Artist/Exhibition
Motu Viget Grant
ArtPrize is proud to support local artists.
ArtPrize is proud to continue the Motu Viget Grant. Introduced in 2023, this grant program is intended to support the incredible creative talent found locally in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This year, they will be awarded through a series of local Pitch Nights conducted in each of the three wards. More info coming soon!
*All Motu Viget applicants must be registered as an ArtPrize artist before submitting their grant application. Applications from Artists not registered as an ArtPrize 2025 artist will not be considered. Learn more about registration here.
Grant funds will be provided to selected Artists to offset costs associated with:
Creation of work
Framing/display needs
Special permitting
Maintenance of installation during the event
Transportation of work to and from the event

Featured Public Projects Returns for ArtPrize 2025!
ArtPrize is proud to continue supporting authentically talented and conceptually compelling Artists + Designers in bringing their big visions to life this fall. ArtPrize is seeking proposals for compelling, large-scale, public artworks to activate high-visibility public sites and create must-see locations during the ArtPrize event.
Launched in 2016, Featured Public Projects is one of ArtPrize’s signature grant programs. This program was created to assist Artists in activating high-visibility public sites during the event with ambitious large-scale public artworks. This year the grant pool is dedicated to one project and will be distributed based on the needs of the projects selected. Featured Public Projects is returning for its sixth iteration with $25,000 of funding available and the sky's the limit (almost).Grant Funds will be provided to selected Artists + Designers to offset costs associated with:
- Creation of work
- Installation of work
- Necessary Special Permitting
- Maintenance of installation during the event
- Transportation and lodging of Artists + Designers during the event
- Unique needs of the selected Featured Public Project
HBA Pekich Park Grant

Grant Applications Close: May 30
Artists + Designers Notified: Week of June 13
The Heartside Business Association Grant intends to help an ArtPrize Artist, specifically a local Grand Rapids artist, bring their vision to life for the 2025 ArtPrize event at Pekich Park. HBA seeks a local Artist, or local collaborative group, to submit their ArtPrize entry to be considered for a $2,000 grant to help supplement the costs associated with fabrication, shipping, installation, travel/stay, and any other expenses related to their Entry. Please note that this grant is for an outdoor entry and thus the entry must withstand the elements. More information coming soon!
